Beautiful jacket but runs large
April 16, 2026I love the jacket, the look and style is awesome but unfortunately I could not try it on before buying. I used my best guest based on the reviews and bought a medium which ended up being too big in the shoulders and long in the sleeves. A small would've fit me much better. Too bad it is final sale.

Great Jacket
April 16, 2026Very happy I tried it on first before ordering. I’m usually a medium but the small was a better fit. I’m 172lb, 5’-7”, 42” chest and 32” waist. The blue is super cool and the collar is a good design. I love the pockets and the way this jacket looks.

A good versatile jacket
January 22, 2026Everything about this jacket is great. A few small things took a star off for me: • I wish the jacket were a bit heavier. It’s warm enough, but on the thinner side, so it doesn’t quite give that cozy feel compared to other jackets I own in the same price range. Because of that, I’m also curious how well it’ll age over time. • There’s a 1983 version and this 1989 version in denim blue. I would’ve loved a clear comparison between the two, but I haven’t been able to find one. • Purely design feedback, but a left chest pocket for a pen or small notes would be great. I know it goes against the original design, just a personal preference. That said, this is a lovely jacket. Very versatile, fun to wear, and perfect for fall days. Once it gets colder, you’ll want to layer underneath.

Indigo dyed barn jacket
January 10, 2026Height: 5’5 | weight: 165lbs | Jacker size: M (Medium) I love this jacket, one of my favorite pieces from Jcrew! However, these run slightly on the roomy side, size down if you want a more tailored look, size one side up if you’d like space to wear a hoodie or thicker sweater. This could have been done with a small for me but to be honest I’m not mad at the extra space. It looks great and feels great and has always gotten compliments since I’ve worn it. 11/10 would buy again! Best regards,
