Camp pant

More like 4.5/5 stars. These are very comfortable, and in my opinion, look good! I'm also surprised at some of the other reviews, but J.Crew's description might not be completely accurate. These are a slim-straight fit, mid-rise cut with a very slight taper at the hem. I'd say they fit near your natural waist. I ordered my normal size, 30x32, and the waist size measures 32, which is consistent with J.Crew's vanity sizing. The hem measures 7 3/4" and the rise measures right around 11". I do wish the cotton was slightly heavier/thicker. I will agree the colors are not accurately portrayed here. I ordered the catskill green and they are indeed a much darker, richer color than pictured. I figured they would be though, so it was expected. That does seem to be somewhat common in J.Crew's pictures - colors are too light/taken with excessive lighting. Overall I'm happy and would like to see this cut in other styles.

These fit me quite well and the slate grey/blue color goes very well with a lot of my clothes. I'm surprised by some of the previous reviews that suggest these pants fit large. For me, they were the perfect. They're not slim, but they're not baggy either. They strike the right balance for me, and I appreciate the slightly higher rise and button fly, too. They're basically a military-style pant with a better fit than surplus. I'd buy these in this exact fit in any material J. Crew makes them in.

Awful fit. Would not recommend at all. The Catskill green is not the one pictured above. It's a rich and dark green but hardly makes up for the baggy fit.

These pants absolutely run big. They have buttons on the waist to reduce the waist size, but that does not help much because they are extremely baggy below the waste. The pants are really not wearable.

I purchased the pants as the brown color looked really attractive from the picture and liked the styling. I got the pants and was a bit disappointed with the color as the real product is a few shades darker than the picture. The pictures are very misleading in this case. The waist is bigger than other jcrew pants for the same size; so, there are some inconsistencies in sizing across jcrew's offerings. The style is what I liked, the rise is also at a sweet spot. The fabric could be a slightly heavier considering it's a pant. Overall quality is okay, but could be better compared to the price.

I love how this pair of pants fits my waist, but from the mid thigh down, they're so big and bulky. These were an online purchase, that i probably would not have purchased in store bc of how bulky they are. I will probably have a friend alter them, but until then, at least I know that if I jump out of a plane, these pants will act as a parachute!
