Short-sleeve printed camp-collar shirt

This shirt has a slight sheen. It's definitely not shocking or dramatic. It is subtle like a summer weight silk camp shirt would be (right?); it made sense to me and I like the way it fits. Think Leo as Romeo, or Brad Pitt in Fight Club. I didn't buy this shirt because I wanted a boring shirt. It is a camp collar shirt with a print on it, what did some reviewers expect? I'm 6'4" slim/athletic build, bought a large and it fits perfect. I recommend it.

Like another reviewer, I was surprised by the sheen of the fabric on this shirt. It is a natural fiber, but does have a subtle iridescence to it. I was thinking it would be a more subdued navy shirt, but I really like it as it is — it’s lightweight and airy and perfect for vacations and summer parties. Yes, it will get attention, but In a good way.

Other than the size being a bit large, it’s a solid edition to my wardrobe. And I’m glad I have a lighter shirt for warmer weather.

So I noticed this has recieved some rather harsh reviews. First off, it is viscose, which is a synthetic silk. I dont think they were trying to hide that fact, it says it in the description. It has a soft feel but not like plastic. It is also a bit looser in the body but then again its not a slim fit shirt. If you're used to wearing slim fit maybe get a size down. Other than that, it fits like any other standard fit shirt would for my size ( typically M). That being said, I usually buy slim fit but this has a nice relaxed, super casual feel to it. Overall a good buy.

I'm a J. Crew regular who frequently shops in-store and online, and I was excited to see the company carry rayon this year. I loved the color and print, but couldn't believe the lack of quality once receiving the item. The garment feels like it's coated in plastic, it looks cheap, and the fit under the arms is extremely wide. This isn't your traditional boxy rayon fit, it just lacks any real shape. I was planning on buying the entire collection had the item been great, so disappointed.

I loved the item in the picture and I thought it would be a great addition to my wardrobe for the spring. Beware, the item is made out of viscose, wrinkles extremely easily and looks like a cheap fake silk. Would not recommend.
