Slub poplin cotton shirt in stripe

Women are concerned that this shirt was made for men. Look at the way it buttons. Love the fabric, however.

I was really looking forward to getting this shirt. At first I thought maybe I bought a men's shirt by mistake. I buy a lot of J. Crew. So I was confused. I like an oversized shirt, but this is ridiculous. The sleeves are past my fingers. The shoulders are slightly past where they should be. Must be designed for a monkey.

It’s a nice shirt, though I’m between sizes so it’s a bit blousy through the sides and back and belly. I love the pattern, but can feel that the fabric isn’t of the highest quality

I really like feel and look of this casual shirt. Problem is sizing is TOO generous. I am 5'8" and typically wear a suit jacket size 44-46 short and dress shirt 17-17.5", 33" arm length. So I chose this shirt in XL. Well, the collar is a little too big but I can deal with that but the arms are way too long. I want to exchange but not sure if should go with slim XL or classic L. I'm afraid going with classic L (41-43) will be too tight across chest since I am a true 44 chest with 40 waist. I wonder since shirt is 100% cotton if washing and drying will cause enough shrinkage to shorten arms and shrink neck? J.Crew I need some help.
