Slim Untucked stretch Secret Wash shirt in end-on-end cotton

The lilac color looks formal and the fabric is not silky feeling. I like that combination. The shirt can be dressed up or down. I disagree with the other review about the fit. I bought a small untucked plaid shirt last August, item H8098, and this one fits the same, except it may be barely longer in the body. I hope it holds up with multiple washes.

The untucked fit is perfect for me. I almost solely wear shirts untucked, and regular and slim cut shirts (j crew and elsewhere) always bothered me with how they fit at the bottom (too bell-shaped). I really like the way this cut looks. For me, the fabric (airy/cool, doesn't wrinkle too much for my tastes) and waterfall color are great, but for the fact that both of my shirts ripped in multiple places after very roughly the tenth (delicate) wash. Maybe they got tangled together during that wash? They both tore under the armpits; one tore under both armpits. I'm buying a laundry mesh bag this time, even though I'm not thrilled about that, because I like the fit of this shirt that much. If you guys made this same shirt with collar stays instead of a button-down collar, or made your ludlow slim dress shirt in an untucked cut (as long as it stays non-shiny), I would wear those exclusively.

I own this shirt in the regular slim fit and have been wearing it for two years. Being somewhat short in height I naturally wanted another one with shorter proportions and is excited to try the untucked fit. To my disappointment the two shirts (both size S) have the exactly same measurements length and sleeve wise. It’s still a solid shirt but just not what they are claiming it to be.
