Wallace & Barnes 6" drawstring denim short

Small fit me really well and I’m so somewhere between 30-31 waist on jc products. Wore these basically every other day this summer and they’ve held up perfectly. The drawstrings are short but I’m able to tie them with no problem and they still look good untied.

Bought a large but fits like and extra-large. Quality of the waistband seems off (too loose) and the drawstring is way too short in proportion to the overall shorts. Stitching on hem was poorly sewn near inseam.
