Kenmare Relaxed-fit blazer in Irish wool blend

J. Crew continues to impress this season. The quality and design of this blazer are spot on. Super easy to wear regardless of personal style. I'd definitely size up if you're questioning size/want a slouchier fit. I'm 6'2" 220 pounds, and my 44r fits slimmer than it does on the model - but not to the point that it looks like a slim cut.

Love the blazer. Fit runs slightly large. Will def need the arms shortened and the body as well about 1/2-1 inch. I usually wear a 46 and ordered a 44 just to see how it fit and it’s roomy enough for layers. Could have sized down to a 42 for a closer fit but it’s fall/winter. Overall though, definitely a different look from J Crew in the best way possible. Can’t wait to throw it on!

I own several Ludlow slim suits/jackets, and decided to try a Kenmare for the first time. Very pleased with the fit, off-white color, and interesting weave. I'm also glad JCrew fixed the button stance on the Regular length to fit an actual regular-sized torso (My Ludlow suits are Short for that reason). The Kenmare looks voluminous on the models, but fits my more muscular build just a shade bigger than a slim-fit - which I like. My only issues are minor. First, the wool-alpaca blend will take some getting used to - the hand is somewhere between flannel and tweed, which I wasn't expecting (but am not opposed to). Second, I wish they'd designed it with side vents instead of a center vent, but that's really just my own preference given my body type - YMMV.
