The perfect casual suit
March 11, 2024Easily the best purchase I’ve made from J. Crew. I hope they keep expanding on their offerings of their casual suiting.

Nice On-Trend Jacket
March 1, 2024I purchased this as part of a suit, and it gets just as much wear as a separate blazer addition to my wardrobe. Fit does feel relaxed but not blown out of proportion. Cotton drill has a nice feel to it too.

Nice casual jacket
December 23, 2023Some things I like: -Material. Soft, hefty cotton. Drapes well, very comfortable. -Several classic "trad" details. 3-roll-2 closure, dartless front, very little waist suppression. It's nice to see J. Crew implementing these on their more recent tailoring -Triple patch pockets. I just think they're neat. These, along with the other details mentioned above, make the jacket into somewhat of a chore coat with lapels. It's very easy to wear as a casual jacket. Some things I don't like: -Functioning sleeve buttons. Please stop doing this, J. Crew. It's an off-the-rack suit. -It runs a bit large in the chest and shoulders. I purchased a 40L (measurements included below) because J. Crew suits generally are too short in length, which has been "trendy" for a while now, and because the description says they shortened the length...even more than usual? Fortunately, as it is unstructured, the too-large shoulders are forgiving. Measurements; Chest: 22" across, 44" total Shoulder-to-shoulder: 18.75" Sleeve, from shoulder seam: 26.5" Back length from top of collar: 31.25"
