Fair Isle shawl cardigan in wool blend

This is the thickest, most plush sweater I have ever worn. I usually shy away from wool because of itchiness around the neck, but this one has none of that. Just be aware that the sizing runs very big: I'm 6 feet tall and an athletic buck-95 with broad shoulders, and while I can usually wear either an L (snug) or XL (slightly looser fit) with Crew shirts/sweaters/jackets, I was absolutely spelunking in the XL. I was able to procure an L for the win.

I love the look and design. The fit is slightly larger, so I sized down for a sleeker fit. The colors balance one another and tone down the busy print. The shawl collar adds a bit of sophistication, but paired with sweats it can also be dressed down. I’m sure I’ll wear it for work, play, date night, or even church. I can tell that I’ll be wearing this sweater for many years to come.

The material is truly what shines here - an incredible heft in an all wool sweater + a softness truly earning the high price tag. Two negatives, way way too oversized. I’m between a medium & a Small, generally leaning larger unless the garment will stretch (ie sweaters). I could have managed an XS. Lastly the shawl falls too low, one additional button higher would be drool inducing.
