Lambswool bomber jacket

Love it, Great color, price, quality, price and warm.

This is a beautiful cardigan sweater and if you can figure out your size in this I highly recommend it as it’s a head turner. Nice fresh shade of green in warm lambs wool. Taking heed of other reviews I ordered 2 sizes to try, both XS and S to see which fit better (90% of the time I’m XS). Bizarrely, the XS fits looser in the abdomen than the S. So I’ll be keeping the S and returning the XS. HOWEVER: I’ll note that I did try these on in store, and at that time oddly I found that particular XS to fit VERY small and the S to fit well. If you’re confused don’t feel bad, I’m confused too :-) I don’t know what’s going on with the sizing as it seems to be inconsistent but like I said if you can dial it in, it’s worth it

Followed other reviewers and J. Crew’s own sizing guide using multiple brands to figure out my size. Everything pointed to my needing an XL and I naively trusted it only to get a sweater that is far too loose and baggy. Because of final sale, I can’t even exchange sizes. Really disappointed in J. Crew for this.

I have used this as a jacket on cool fall days and as a layer underneath a raincoat or topcoat when weather demands. I love the color as it pairs well with all my fall neutrals and I find it easy to dress up over a sportshirt and woven tie, or down over a t-shirt and cords. Warm, breaths well, and fits great!

Overall, this sweater is a solid piece. Once I started wearing it, the wool stretch a bit and it started to fit more naturally. When I first put it on, it felt like I was wearing something cut for a large child instead of an adult. I think it was the "bomber" style with the pockets that made me look much rounder than I am. I usually wear a Medium, classic fit shirt, sometimes a slim fit.

I love my lambswool bomber jacket. I practically wear it everyday.
