French terry rugby sweatshirt

Completely different color! It falls more on a maroon palette, not red currant as advertised. Not cool j.crew

This is the second J. Crew piece I’ve bought this season that I loved… that was a completely different color when it arrived at my door step. Contrary to the images shown, this sweater is garment dyed and is essentially garnet (think FSU). I still love how that looks… but it’s not what I expected at all. Overall the quality feels good, it feels like a slightly lighter Terry than sweaters I’ve bought in the past but it seems like it’ll wear well. Pretty true to size, but if you’re in-between I’d suggest sizing up. It fits more like a J. Crew sweater than their previous seasons’ rugby shirts.

The quality and fit of this piece are as expected. But not the color. The color is actually dark plum/maroon and is not at all as pictured. I really wanted the item as pictured but this is not it. Im still debating about returning this item. It also has a weird chemical odor. I am on the fence about keeping and see if the smell washes out, but it’s a gamble. If you are on the fence about this piece I would encourage you to not purchase.
