Wallace & Barnes french terry shirt-jacket

This is a comfortable shirt jacket that really feels like a zip up sweater. It is cut trimmer than most Wallace & Barnes items. I got a size Small. Wallace & Barnes jackets and sweaters in Small are a little roomy for me, but this jacket fits nice and snug. The sleeves are also slim, such that I can't really pull the sleeves up my arm. All in all it has a nice trim look that goes well with a cool, punk kind of style. I like to wear this under my J Crew Medium denim jacket and it works really well. The color is much darker than in the picture. This basically functions as a vintage black (so nice a worn black). The collar pops really well, so this is a great replacement for a hoodie if you like the layering but not the super casual look of a hoodie.

I ordered this on a bit of a whim, and I'm certainly glad I did. Think hoodless hoodie with a better cut, in a unique fabric that I can't say I've actually felt before, but somehow feels like I know it from my childhood. I find myself wearing this more and more. Pockets are a bit odd, not right for your hands, phone seems to fall out if I bend over to pick something up, and yet, I like them. Great piece, would get one in another color if available!

This jacket/cardigan is so versatile. It can be dressed up for a business casual look or dressed down and worn with jeans. The color is really nice-not a real dark navy. The fit is true to size. I bought one for each of my sons, two different tastes in clothes but it is a winner in both of their eyes.
