Boxers in astronaut print

I have been buying and wearing J.Crew boxers for 10 years, always the same size and the same level of comfort, consistent and reliable. But no more, I bought these and two other pairs and I do know why they have changed a winning formula but these are so much tighter in the crotch, rear and leg than they ought to be and as a result are highly uncomfortable. The waist band is fine but that's where it ends, along with my 10 year affair with J.Crew boxers. I thought at first maybe they just need to go through the wash to loosen up but sadly I was mistaken and now I can't even return them, so all in all, a massive waste of money.
