Kenton work boots in Chromexcel® leather

I really like the idea of having an affordable Horween leather, Goodyear welted boots.fortunately this one is sort of a surprise from J Crew. I like these two things and that’s about it really. The boot fits smaller than your typical “Kenton” line. A bit snug means it’s probably a different last. I opted for a next size over because lately I’m noticing j crew fits a size smaller than previous collections. I’m not a fan of this. Basically making it seem like something that has a traditional fit but gets screwed over later on when it doesn’t actually fit. The Kenton line has been around for a short while now so I guess they’re banking on the idea that this familiar territory and you shouldn’t worry about it being a weird fit. Another troubling thing about buying boots online is that you don’t get to see the actual product. Again from the pictures shown this was supposed to be a lighter maybe even a tan boot but what I got was much darker almost tobacco like.
