Great shoes, incredible value
April 24, 2018These shoes look like ones two or three times the price. They have a great, supple leather upper, and a charming looking outsole. They also come with a super handy shoe bag. I find myself reaching more and more for these shoes rather than much more expensive ones, since they look almost as good and can be replaced at a fraction of the price. Note, as with most dress shoes, there is a bit of a breaking in period with these shoes. However, once they're broken in, these shoes are incredibly comfortable.

Staple for every man's professional wardrobe
November 21, 2017There's nothing overly flashy about these oxfords. They are exactly what you expect a pair of black cap-toes should be. That said, they are a must have if you're building a professional wardrobe. I have over 5 pairs of various Ludlow shoes and a half dozen more Kentons, these are about as comfortable as I've had straight out of the box. They go great with charcoal suits. If you polish them up a bit, they have the versatility to go great with a tuxedo instead of having to purchase a separate pair of patten leather dress shoes. The sizing I found to be true to size, whereas I typically have to go down half a size in my other Ludlows. Get them while you can while they're on sale!

Great Bang For Your Buck
October 10, 2017I purchased the shoes while on sale. As with all dress shoes, I ordered a full size smaller from my sneaker size. I must admit I was skeptical. When I opened up the shoebox I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the shoes. It was apparent right away. The sole, the leather upper, the leather lining, the Goodyear welt, and the clean lines of the shoe-last all indicated a higher end shoe. There was no need for me to break the shoe in, as soon as I put the shoes on it felt very light and comfortable. Usually, shoes at this price point will feel clunky and heavy. That was not the case with these shoes. For a starter dress shoe, this is exactly what I wanted.

Excellent shoe
December 30, 2016This is a true-to-name cap toe balmoral (oxford) with closed lacing and no broguing. Both the leather upper and sole are good quality. These shoes are quite comfortable throughout the entire day, though I admittedly do not have a job that requires long periods of standing. With regard to sizing, my normal size (11D) fit perfectly.

Nice Shoe
October 3, 2015Good quality shoe, very sharp looking. Good value compared to other similar style. Worn every day for a couple of weeks now, no issues.

Try hard to like them
June 22, 2015Made my purchase 2 months ago and have been trying really hard to like the shoes. First, they are far from comfortable to wear. The soles and leather are so hard that you feel as if you were wearing something made out of wood. I initially thought it's because breaking-in takes time, but after several wears it still feels the same. Second, the quality of the shoes definitely leaves great room for improvement. For that price, I was expecting craftsmanship that reflects a higher level of attention to details. One problem is the size and serial number of the shoes are HAND-WRITTEN with blue ball-pen on the inner side of the shoes, not on the tongues but near the heels... Another problem is black ink blotches can be found inside the shoes, which most likely come from spilling when they colored the exterior of the shoes. Guess it's because those shoes are actually made in China instead of the US or EU. Overall, not a great value while comfort and quality of the shoes are compromised.
