Subu^® Nannen winter sandals

Not sure why these are only in the men's category, but I went on the subu site to see how the sizing translates to women and ordered size one since I'm a size 9. These are a great piece for padding around the house/checking the mail/running errands. Love them!

I wear 41.5-42, so the size 2 (which covers men's size 8-9) should have been spot on. However, the footbed hits my heel on my bigger foot and both slippers feel like they have a rubberband at the shoe opening which squeezes the top of my foot. I have high arches, but never have this problem. These slippers have LOTS of padding and are like pillows above and below my feet so I suspect that they will break-in. Once they are less fluffed, I should have better room for my feet and can use them as warm slippers. Or else I'll pass them along to my daughter. (PS I have had many previous bouts with plantar fasciitis and do best with shoes/slippers that have support, padding and shape. The footbed on these would probably be heavenly to someone who has never heard of plantar fasciitis, but have no support on the heel for me to do any long walks or standing.)
