Fits big based on
6 customer reviewsWhat customers are saying:
Customers generally like the clean, polished look of these Chuck Taylor ’70s and say they feel comfortable once broken in. Many mention they run a bit large, so sizing down by half to a full size seems to work best. A few customers also like the small vintage-style details and say they’ve become their go-to sneakers. Overall, they come across as a stylish upgrade on the classic Chuck, with the fit being the main thing to watch.

Favorite Chucks
July 31, 2020In close to 10 years of wearing chucks, these are my favorite. They’re comfortable and the little details like the extra stitching are great.

Clown Shoes
July 9, 2020Based on the reviews I ordered a half size down and they still fit and looked like freaking clown shoes!! Like most things with J Crew over the last few years the quality is lazy and poor.

Don’t like the glossy rubber toe and soul
May 7, 2019I decided to return these shoes because I thought the glossy rubber soles made them look rather cheap and a bit girly. Maybe the original Chucks were glossy, but I prefer a matte finish. If the gloss doesn’t bother you then I recommend them. Order half a size down from your usual shoe size to ensure a good fit.
