Convertible wallet bag with chain strap in leather

Cute bag thats nice fora night out. But the classy look of the bag is deterred by the strange X shaped stitching across the front of the purse by gold hardware. Makes the the purse feel like it’s trying to be dressy and also casual, but misses the mark on both fronts (good for neither vibe)

If purchased at full price i would've been very upset. Its a nice wallet for the sale price i paid for it. It doesn't feel substantial the chain feels cheap and very light feather light. I actually dont mind that because it doesnt feel heavy when worn as crossbody. I can remove and replace the chain if i want. Im 5'5 and it lays at my hip which is nice not too short or long. The black glue? They use on the sides of the wallet to hold it together will peel off at some point if used too often. It feel like i purchased a target item and not j crew. It fits my iphone and lipstick and other small bits, 6 card slots and space for cash. It will do the job until it can't. I don't see this lasting years unless used only once in a while.

A little on the small side, but you'd expect a wallet bag to be. It's simple and classic, and so very versatile. I couldn't tell from the photo that there was an unexpected small black thread stitching on the front by the gold dot in the middle: it seemed like a fabrication error when I received it, but it's small and subtle so I kept it anyway. Feels like an odd design choice if it's intentional, but not too noticeable.
