Disappointing tote
July 19, 2022I wanted to love this bag, but it just fell short. The rope gets bunched at the bottom, causing the bottom of the bag to slump over. You have to keep pulling it up, which is annoying, but then it doesn’t even stay for more than a minute (or as soon as you move the bag). The quality is just not there. I’m very disappointed that I bought it on sale and cannot return. I’m just going to send it to Goodwill.

Straw tote
July 9, 2022The fibers on the tote were already ripped when this arrived. Damaged upon arrival.Should have returned it but was traveling. No lining, no snap, no zipper. A rather large tote for every day. Very disappointed.

Almost but poor design
July 8, 2022The item I received was incorrectly sewn which causes the bag to pucker the material by over an inch and shorten the bag overall. It did not stand up or appear as the picture due to where the leather handles were anchored. It seems they were incorrectly attached. It makes it very difficult to use. I was incredibly disappointed given the awesome reviews shown on this site.

Generous Size. Perfect for Beach Days
July 7, 2022Purchased this straw bag for a beach vacation. I am very happy for its generous size and shape. It does not appear overly big for my 5'3" frame at all. My only advice for other J Crew lovers is that you will want to match it with a wristlet and hook it to the handle of this straw bag. There is no compartment inside this straw bag. So for items such as phone, keys, and money, you will need something that provides security.

Beautiful large bag, quality control issue...
June 23, 2022The picture shows nice, clean look, in reality I got uneven edge bag, which totally ruins the look. I guess I will have to stop trying with straw bags, this is second time I'm getting crooked straw bag. The size appears to be bigger than on photo, it's more like beach size, not a market size. I don't think it will suit a petite size person.

Idea Summer Carry all
June 18, 2022Generous proportions to carry a load to the beach or back from the market. I did a deep dive researching options and this is top choice for price, quality, and design. The nice rope and leather strap sits securely on the shoulder—does not cut in when fully loaded. An elegant design—blue option even has cleaner lines but I’m not a blue person much. Was looking for seagrass but this straw is tightly woven. Will be used frequently this summer. Thank you J. Crew!
