Louisa lady jacket in gingham terry tweed

This jacket is perfect! It is the right combo of classic but updated. The construction is very nice & the quality is excellent! I bought the skirt that matches. With sling back heels it looks great for a dinner out or it would also work for the office. For me it is true to size.

J Crew recommended a Size 2 which sold out so I purchased size 4 which fits well in shoulders, arms and bust. I'm somewhat confused about the sizing cos' I am a size 0 or 2 in lady jackets, a 00 in a recently released Collection leather jacket but a size 4 in this design. 34A bust and 5'2. 125 lbs on a good day. Small boned so all the weight's in the flesh. Hahaha. The jacket hits at the waist so it is cropped as described. Either I gained weight or the arms are cut smaller? Sleeves hit at wrist. However, the gold buttons are not sewn on well and one is literally hanging by a thread. I did not receive an extra button either (my friend who purchased the same did). I could wear a s 2 if I want to but I think size 4 allows for movement in the shoulders and arms. J crew please provide measurements for your designs. It's risky to buy on final sale when sizes are not consistent. I recommend going up one size or trying on in store before purchase

This jacket is utterly covetable. It fits like a dream, and the buttons don’t gape, despite my prodigious bust. It hits at a flattering point and it pairs well with dresses, skirts, and pants. The pink isn’t pastel, but it’s also not too vibrant, and the woven texture is pleasant. Because I’m ridiculous, I also got the matching dress and plan to wear them together for an Elle Woods moment. I initially balked at the price but managed to snag it at about 50% off — at that price point, which still isn’t *cheap*, I cannot recommend it enough. (For the record, I don’t think you’d regret the purchase at $300 if that’s in your range; it’s just not for me.)

I bought this specifically for the pink collection leather and it created a fabulous outfit. I plan to pop it on with jeans, white jeans and new linen slacks. I got a 2...it recommended a 0. I would not have been happy with the 0.
