Excellent and Timeless
December 4, 2023Beautifully made, stylish trench. Like another reviewer mentioned, this material is very lux and reads more cotton than wool (no nap, finely woven, lightweight). The trench itself hangs nicely and is very flattering with the belt cinched. There is a gorgeous navy lining and the stitching/detailing are top notch. This is not a warm coat- between the lower neck and the lightweight fabric it will be perfect for spring or fall. Paired with a scarf it could suit for winter if all you were doing was going from the car to an event/meeting. I am an hourglass 14 and this fits true to size or slightly generous in my opinion. I have plenty of room for a sweater or other bulky layer. I am very happy with this purchase and consider this style and the black/white gingham to be timeless. I've worn it twice and have been stopped both times for either a compliment or a query as it where it came from. Like many of the J Crew Collection pieces, there is a substantial coat chain for hanging at the back neck of the garment. This is a little cold on the skin if you don't have a higher neck shirt. The construction is impressive and I am very pleased I purchased this item

Stunning Trench
December 1, 2023[Employee of jcrew] Obsessed! I don’t think any item has ever elicited so many compliments. She is classy and timeless, effortlessly chic, and everyday but still exciting. This is the kind of thing your daughter/granddaughter/niece will be so excited to pull out as a vintage piece years from now! 5’7, 130 lbs, pear shaped, typically a size 2, ordered a 2, it’s perfect!

November 27, 2023Jacket has a nice feel, definitely more cotton than wool texture. Runs small, size up. Might be staticky. Looks great and fits well, but won’t keep u too warm.

Classy Trench
November 19, 2023[Employee of jcrew] This sharp, classy coat was returned to my local store. It’s more beautiful in person, the colors are sharp & clear. It fits tts for me. Not sure about the fabric complaints in the previous review. The description clearly states it’s a “wool blend”. I like that it has more cotton (50/38) as it is a trench. It’s not bulky, so will pack well, too. I feel a bit like Sherlock Holmes’ assistant wearing it!
