My New Favorite Coat! Timeless and Comfortable
January 12, 2024Very well cut, high quality, can be worn as dressy or casual, gorgeous colors that are both unique and versatile. There are no pockets, but it looks so sleek without them that they aren't missed. The sleeves are perfect length to show off my burgundy leather J. Crew gloves I bought at the same time. I love, love, LOVE this coat (and the fall sale price I was able to get it at!)

December 18, 2023This is a wonderful coat, it's well tailored and the fabric is beautiful...I'm surprised to read negative comments about the quality, because this garment is very well made. I'm 5'8", 160 lbs, athletic build and size 10 is a perfect fit. I enjoy wearing this coat and got a lot of compliments.

Fits small
Dissapointing fabric and execution.
December 11, 2023The color of the fabric is gorgeous; however, the quality is suspect. I received the coat today and it was already shedding / pilling around the sleeves out of the box so I know this will be a mess after a day / evening of wear. The description is incorrect and the material is primarily man made - 36% polyester / 32% acrylic with only 25% wool / 1% alpaca with the remaining percentage consisting of other materials(?) which is likely why the coat will pill. The material also feels thin, the sleeves are just a tad short, and the sizing runs small as I am usually a M / 8 / 10 and with a sweater underneath the coat was tight. This is marketed as a J.Crew collection piece; however, my previously collection coats (I have a Regent Topcoat in Blackwatch from Holiday '15 that I adore) are 100% wool and impeccably fitted. I love the print but overall, I am disappointed with the fabric and execution, and this will be going back.

Love the Fabric / Hate the Cut
December 1, 2023I love the fabric, style and quality of this wonderful coat and am so disappoinment that the cut is not the classic menswear look that I'd hoped for. Unfortunately it's very curvy at the hips and the shoulders are very heavily padded. Wish it had worked because it's exactly what I'm looking for. This was true to size for me.

Lovely, but runs small
November 29, 2023[Employee of jcrew] I am a 10/12 in coats bought the 12 and it was very tight! Going up a size but I love the quality! Runs in my POV!
