Collection new Icon trench coat in lightweight shiny nylon

Purchased the pink, though was a bit worried about it being too flashy/shiny. Not at all! LOVE this trench. Pros: Silver buttons, mortise buttons, decorative flaps, comfortable/substantive hood to stop rain Cons: None really Neutral: Size-wise, I bought a size 6. I'm typically a 6-8. It fits well and has room; however, if you want to wear thick sweaters on your shoulders, I might go with the larger of your J.Crew sizes.

I just got this today and tried it on. I got it in navy blue in 12 I wanted to be able to wear a sweater underneath. The idea is good, the execution is poor. It has a weird fit, it's tight in the bust/shoulder area and I'm not busty, I'm 5'7" 141 lb now and 34D or 36C, 12 should've had plenty of room. It's water repellent which is good, color is good too. The other weird thing about it is that the part that is over the top back/shoulders, I'm not sure what it's called is totally sticks out when I'm wearing the coat. It's like really ridiculous! I can't return it because I bought it on final sale and maybe, just maby I can take it to the alterations and maybe they can do something about that ugly thing. Don't get me wrong, I love JCrew! I almost shop for all my clothes here because of the quality and reasonable prices but this thing is a total waist of my money, and like I said I spent a lot of money shopping at JCrew. I wish someone would read this review and help me with this matter

Sometimes is not rain but wind… this coat is perfect for both… can be used in place of an “errands” jacket, like when you need an extra layer while indoors (supermarket, movies, etc)… it would dress you up (jeans tshirt flats sunglasses and this coat…) I am 5’4” and 130 lbs… slim… could have bought size 4 but I liked the fullness of the size 6… for a little oversized look and for when wearing a thicker and ling-sleeved layer underneath… for reference… I am size 2 on regular fit ling sleeve button-down shirts from Jcrew… bought it in pink and navy…

I finally found what I've been looking for...a colorful, well-made trench! I purchased the pink in a size 4 regular. It fits me perfectly. I usually wear J. Crew size 4-6 in coats and tops. I am 5'5" tall and 32DDD bust. The length is to the knee on me which is where I wanted it. I do not have broad shoulders (the approximate shoulder width taken from the back at the top of sleeve is 15.5 inches). I can fit a light sweater underneath comfortably. It has a belt security tab, an interior "lipstick" pocket, the sleeve belts are attached, the hood is removable, the front storm flaps are buttoned down and can be adjusted if you need to fully button the jacket. Also, it repels water! The hood kept my hair completely dry in a downpour without and umbrella. I am so glad I purchased it!

This is not a cute trench coat. As another reviewer shared, it gives off inspector gadget vibes. It runs extremely large. I purchased size 2 and based on the size chart, it measures out to a size 8. Do not buy. I called and its an extreme hassle to return since I used a giftcard so I might be stuck giving away.
