Collection toggle coat in Italian fall blanket wool

What a disappointment. I knew it would run large, and that was fine with me. However the fabric pills just by looking at it. The sleeves are an awkward shorter length and the faux leather piping actually truly looks like plastic. There is better faux leather that could have been used, especially for a Collection coat.

The style and fitting of this coat is perfect. You can be casually elegant. I received a lot of compliments wearing this coat. I love it. BUT the quality is a little bit disappointing. I just wore this 3 - 4 times and I can see a worn signs and thread coming out from the arm pit area. I’m afraid to pull it because it might totally ruined it or the sleeves might fall off. Just the quality it not what I expected from JCrew.

Nice coat, and beautiful Caramel color, but it doesn’t live up to the jcrew quality of coats that I’ve purchased in the past. And the sleeves are more like 3/4 length. It isn’t very attractive in person and over priced even on sale. I would have returned it if I hadn’t bought it on final sale.

I got the brown color. Quality wool. If you work in an office, this coat has room enough for you to wear a proper blazer underneath. The arms room feels great, which is rare in J Crew or other designer coats 2021-22. The length is below the knee for me, which is a plus. I just wish it had functional pockets, not just a cute look. Even with all the functional roominess, it's not bulky. A great coat that you don't have to size up to wear during proper winter seasons.

Indeed this is a warm and well-fitting coat. however, I have worn it for approximately three weeks and am quite disappointed at the way that it pills in high friction areas and how the "leather" piping is irritating on my chin. I have to wear a scarf between the coat and my neck. This is absolutely not J.Crew quality.

I found that the coat runs very roomy in the body and short in the sleeves. I ordered a size 00, 110 pounds and the sleeve was only 23". Shoulders measured 15". The body of the coat was like a size 2 very roomy and untailored. If you remember Nello Gori coats from J.Crew the wool cashmere blend, I still have one. The weight is winter warmth and in comparison this wool coat was very lightweight and on a cold eastern winter day, underneath a layer most likely would be needed. All that being said, for the price tag on this coat I cannot justify. The navy was a nice color but even the black leather like trim around the cuffs was just meh....very slim almost too slim for the loose style body of the coat. No I think I will cherish my Nello Gori cashmere wool fitted winter coat.
