Flora Obscura X J.Crew quilted reversible wrap jacket with PrimaLoft®

This puffer/quilt wrap has so much potential to be amazing... The idea is great - It's tough to find a short house coat - and the colors are beautiful. So, I took a chance and ordered it in size small, which is my typical J.Crew size. The fabric is thick and substantial; it was so, so, so huge (and not in a comfy way, precisely because it is made from such a thick material). The added material is cumbersome and awkward. It's like wearing three quilts with a tiny tie belt and trying to make it look nice. (If I were to reorder it, I would begin with an XXS - and truthfully, it's so pretty, I'm almost tempted to do it, but at the price point maybe I'll try a tailor? Haven't decided. It's a final sale so it is a risk) Also, side note, I can't find the info on the fabric. Hope this helps!

I was reluctant to order a small based on the True Fit recommendation, because I was concerned about having room for layers underneath (thinking I might need a medium). I ordered the samll and it was too oversized in my opinion; it seemed like a large/extra large and didn't even seem like a stylish oversized fit. Maybe an extra small would've been better? I'll be returning the small....not sure yet if I want to try again given the high price. It's nice, but not sure it's that nice.

This is my favorite piece from the Flora Obscura collaboration! It’s a higher price point but worth it in terms of quality and design. It’s a forever piece. The cut is so cute and I love how the jacket overlaps and ties shut with a matching reversible belt— it looks great with jeans and paired with a skirt or dress. The reverse side is gorgeous, a watercolor like lavender motif. I’m in love.
