Great for a magician :/
March 11, 2022I love the Burnished Barn color and was so excited to get this coat on super sale. Sadly it looks ridiculous, the chest and waist are fitted nicely, but the rest balloons out like a ballgown. I look like a circus magician. There’s just way too much material. I’m going to try to have it altered, because the color and material quality are so nice.

Classy high end dress coat
March 2, 2022Bought it on Final Sales with less $200 and very nervous about it after reading the reviews. It fits so well for me. For the negative reviews, it is a "DRESS COAT", and it fits its function. 100% wool, very well tailored and the cut makes it slim. Bought it in usual 0 and it fits very well. JCrew Coats had been large lately, but this one is not. It looks like $3000 designer coats. One timeless black winter outwear, will be wearing for a long time.

Timeless coat
January 23, 2022I was hesitant before I placed the order as the polarization of the reviews. Negative reviews said the bottom of the coat was too big. As I’m curvy on the bottom, It might work on me so I placed an order finally. It was such a correct decision! The coat is so flattering on me! I wear size 2 or xs on JCREW’s most clothing and bought size 2, black here. It has the fit-and-flare shape and looks very high-end. I like this coat more than the lady day coat, which I tries several sizes in store but couldn’t find the right fit - size 2 and 4 were too small on the bottom but size 6 was way too big on the waist. For ladies who have similar body shape as me, try this coat, which will hug your curve beautifully! I wish JCREW will retain this style in future and provide more colors.

January 7, 2022I bought this coat in black. My daughter came home from college and seen me in it, and wanted one. So I bought her the pinkish colored coat (it cost less in this color). She loves this coat even the color, which she was leery of the color initially.

December 23, 2021NICE FABRIC, COLOR, BUT THE CUT TERRIBLE!, I BOUGHT SIZE 10 (36C), IT CLOSE PERFECTLY ON THE TOP, BUT THE BOTTOM IT LOOKS LIKE MARY POPPINS COAT, ENORMOUS, UGLY, I RETURNED TODAY. IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ON THE WEBSITE, THE CUT ON THE BOTTOM IT MAKE YOU LOOKS LIKE A PEAR, A BIG BELL, THANK GOD I DID NOT BUY IT ON FINAL SALE.
