Washed field jacket in stripe

I am 5'1, 100 lbs and bought the xs bc the xxs was not in stock. The xs is a little big but gives me the option to wear a couple layers underneath. The fabric itself is high quality and I appreciate both the zipper and buttons.

Waited a little late in the year to get this, but now I can’t wait to wear it this fall. I wear Medium J Crew tops and bottoms, but got this in a large based on other reviews. Outerwear that is too small in the shoulders is so uncomfortable and I wanted room for sweaters, etc underneath. The large was a good call - plenty of room, but not too much - I look forward to wearing this one. It did seem pricey, but I’m still wearing a J Crew barn jacket that I bought back when they were catalog-only, so I should get my money’s worth!

I agree with the previous reviewer (girligirls00). This is a wonderful jacket, good quality, but it runs small, so size up. I am 5'7'', 145 lbs and I usually wear a Medium in JCrew tops. I took the previous reviewer's advice and ordered a Large and I'm glad I did. It's a perfect fit. Thank you girligirls00, and thank you JCrew.

This jacket is very well made, one that will last a lifetime. From the photos it appears thin and huge on the model, but that is not the case. It is true to size and even maybe a bit on the small side. The model must be wearing an extra large or something for a baggy look. Thicker cotton material with no stretch at all. I am 145 pounds with broader shoulders. The medium is tight in the arms so I am going to get a large or extra large. I will probably keep the extra large. Overall, this jacket screams "I am going to Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Get this jacke, it's super cute and unique.

The price on this seems way high for a jacket, but it's really cute on, good quality, and I can see it lasting many years like my downtown jacket, so I'm going with the cost per wear thing;). Love the black stripe detail on the inside, which shows if you roll up the sleeves. Unrolled, the sleeves end right at my wrist bone. More of these in different colors would be great! For reference, I'm 120 and 5'2", and got an xxs which is a size smaller than I took in the downtown jacket. At this size it's perfect - comfy and loose but not too baggy to overwhelm my frame - but someone else might like it a little bigger like the model is wearing it.
