Lady day coat in shimmer tweed

Today I received this coat and I ordered a size 6 and usually a size 4 is what I would pick but I am glad I went with the 6. After reading reviews of the bust area very small, the 6 was perfect for me with a 32A and I could easily button and stretch my arms without pulling. A size 4 may have been likely to do that which is such an awkward feel if you have layers underneath and not a tank dress which I have on right now. Details: The inner button inside the coat where each is sewed on have gold like butterflies so all stitching is concealed, truly amazing. the lining is in black with white piping like J.Crew vintage coats were. And all buttons on front and sleeves are done with quality and the tweed just sparkles. Pockets are nice and deep for carrying a small card wallet and another my keys. Super beautiful and stunning, amazing purchase. It carries 5 Stars indeed!

I love this jacket. It’s absolutely stunning. And once I discovered that I am an extra extra small in most of their clothes that’s what I got and it fits perfect. I bought it online and Customer Service was everything you want from Customer Service. The top of the line standard. So I will be ordering more from J.Crew in this new online clothing purchasing world we’re living in now. I never really bought clothes online because I was nervous about the fit and I don’t like to send stuff back. So now I know, and there one of my go to stores. I am 5 5”and I weigh about 116. Top some extra extra small and pants I am 25 skirts 25

This is a beautiful coat. I LOVE it. It looks as advertised and fits really well. It does fit small. I had to go a size up. I squealed when it finally arrived. Its really lovely. Im glad its mine.

This coat is sooo beautiful. Had to write a review hopefully to help others decide on a size. It runs small at the top, and it is a final sale. I tried on the other lady coats just to get an idea of the size I would need after reading the reviews. I think this shimmer version is online only. So for reference, I am 5'3, 120 lbs (34B) and normally wear a 2 or 4. This coat runs very small at the top. The shoulders/bust area are tight when buttoned. I ended up getting a 6. It fits perfect, and I still have enough room for a sweater underneath and am able to button it up.

Just as another reviewer posted, the fabric is substantial and beautiful in person. I cannot wait to wear this to winter events for years to come! I'm a 00p and the shoulders are wide- nothing a tailor can't fix. The bottom hem does flare out more than anticipated based on the photos, but that may just be particular to my slim/athletic body type. Loved the silhouette/styling in general- no unflattering bulk created by waist-area pockets found in other lady day coats.

The coat beautifully made but it does run extremely small. Im usually a size 6 in jcrew and i had to size up to a size 12. Keep this in mind when you order. The coat is a tailored fit so even though you have to size up the fit is still tailored to your frame.
