Customers really loved the dress’s elegant, flattering look, with several calling out the beautiful drape, pleating, and pretty color. The lightweight silk chiffon felt comfortable and airy, making it a great pick for weddings and other formal events. Fit was generally good, though a few customers suggested checking length carefully or sizing up, especially in the chest or if you’re tall. Overall, it came across as a gorgeous, high-style dress that works especially well for special occasions.

Bridesmaid dress returned 3 times
April 3, 2015I purchased this dress for a friends wedding. I originally ordered an 8, my regular size, but at 5'5 it is too long without super high heels. I then ordered an 8 petite but the sizing in the back cause it to not even come close to zipping. So, we returned again for a 10 petite, and still, the back will not zip. However, this dress was a final sale so I am stuck with it! I then ordered a 12 petite, 2 sizes up from my normal Jcrew size and still it will not zip all the way- even with some spanx action. The wedding is now in a week and I have TWO final sale dresses at home with tags and nothing to wear. I have had my back measured and a tailor cannot fix it due to the tight bodice fit. I am shipping an emergency THIRD final sale dress and my only thought is that I will always get dresses shortened when they fit perfectly. Also, the higher the size up, the more material, and the dress makes your middle look very fluffy.

Very small in the chest
March 9, 2015I usually wear a size 0-2 or XS at JCrew for dresses, pants, and tops. I ordered this dress in a regular 2 thinking the sizing wouldn't be a problem...unfortunately this final sale item was super ridiculously small in the chest. Wouldn't even zip up once I got to the spot just below my chest. Its a beautiful dress but I won't be wearing it to my gala.

Don't trust this dress for your event
November 13, 2014I was so excited to wear this dress to a formal event for my husband's work. It looks really elegant on and the size fit me very well - it was even a little loose around the rib cage. However while we were at dinner the zipper popped apart - just out of the blue - which immediately caused the whole back to unzip and the little clasp at the top was the only thing keeping it on. You can imagine how mortifying it was to have my husband walk me out of the room trying to cover my back in front of all his coworkers. I spent the next 20 minutes in the bathroom fixing the zipper only to have it break open again as we left the event. It's a beautiful style but not worth the massive embarrassment. Imagine if that had happened to a bridesmaid standing in front of everyone at a wedding ceremony!
