Button-front cotton poplin dress in English garden

I wish this style would come back! my favorite summer sundress- super flattering, comfortable, beautiful print, and easy to wash.

This dress is beautiful. The print is classic Liberty, great for spring/summer, and the fabric is lightweight poplin. However, and this is a constant issue I’m finding with Liberty pieces in larger sizes- the fit sucks. I am a consistent size 16/18, XXL in JCrew, and usually a size 18 in JCrew dresses, 38G bust. The cut of this dress does NOT accommodate a larger bust the way it would if it were cut with a plus size fit model; it’s clearly an example of a sloppy size adjustments. Anything larger than a size 14/ C cup, I’d say size up and prepare to have it tailored. I ordered an 18 and 20 (I am never a 20, in any brand) and the 18 the bust area was cut so high it was laughable, and even after getting the 20 tailored quite a bit, it doesn’t fit the way I’d like. Good enough to like wearing, but not great, and not love. J Crew, PLEASE treat your collabs’ sizing with the same attention to detail as your own line!

Everyone said to size up in the comments, so I did since it was my first j.crew dress. Well shouldn’t have done it) it is too big for me now) will have to fix it a little bit- so in my experience it ended up being true to size. I am a little worried that it is very thin and quite see through with no lining, but it is made well and the print is beautiful. I will definitely wear it a lot in summer

A beautiful print and a comfortable fit. Might have it shortened from the midi length, but otherwise a great buy.

Gorgeous spring piece. I loved this print and dress! If it were shorter in length and not midi, I suspect it would be sold out already. Have no clue what the other reviews are on about the buttons - I'm lazy with dressing, and they're totally fine. They're normal loop buttons, and I did need to unbutton down to the waist in order to put on, but that's to be expected. I'm a consistent Size 6 in J.Crew dresses, and the 8 here worked best. Especially pre-wash/dry 100% cotton. I'm going to keep this length for a while, and if I find myself wanting it to be shorter ongoing, I'll hem it. LOVE the print and overall design. Hello touches of pink and pockets!

I am normally an XL, 12/14 in JCrew. I took the recommendations on sizing up... I am glad I sized up two sizes to an 18. The dress is lovely and perfect for spring or summer...I am trying to get away with it this winter by putting a turtle neck under it. Very light fabric. Also, I would not have bought this at full price and am glad it on sale.
