the best summer sundress

Beautiful dress, but if you’re busty, beware!
December 12, 2021This dress is beautiful. The print is classic Liberty, great for spring/summer, and the fabric is lightweight poplin. However, and this is a constant issue I’m finding with Liberty pieces in larger sizes- the fit sucks. I am a consistent size 16/18, XXL in JCrew, and usually a size 18 in JCrew dresses, 38G bust. The cut of this dress does NOT accommodate a larger bust the way it would if it were cut with a plus size fit model; it’s clearly an example of a sloppy size adjustments. Anything larger than a size 14/ C cup, I’d say size up and prepare to have it tailored. I ordered an 18 and 20 (I am never a 20, in any brand) and the 18 the bust area was cut so high it was laughable, and even after getting the 20 tailored quite a bit, it doesn’t fit the way I’d like. Good enough to like wearing, but not great, and not love. J Crew, PLEASE treat your collabs’ sizing with the same attention to detail as your own line!

Beautiful but might be too thin
December 8, 2021Everyone said to size up in the comments, so I did since it was my first j.crew dress. Well shouldn’t have done it) it is too big for me now) will have to fix it a little bit- so in my experience it ended up being true to size. I am a little worried that it is very thin and quite see through with no lining, but it is made well and the print is beautiful. I will definitely wear it a lot in summer
