Cutout dress in Liberty® Hazy Days floral

Fabric is like a soft, thin cotton poplin and it’s lined. Pretty print in person. Fit is exactly TTS. I’m a small in JCrew tops, 28p in jeans. Bought this in a 6. Fits great. The only thing I’ll say and it’s not a deal breaker for me is that the gathered part on the lower belly under the tie does nothing to minimize a belly pooch. I don’t think it necessarily accentuates it but if you’re conscious of that area, maybe this is a pass. If not, (I embrace all of it) then get it. You could dress this up with heels for a wedding or wear it with little slides to go out to eat. Sexy and classy.

Finally was able to order a size 8. I’m usually a size 6 but thought due to the style that I should try an 8. The 8 is just right. It isn’t tight and allows for some slight weight fluctuations. It is a very flattering piece for those of us with curves. For reference I am 5’6”, ~140, 36 DD, slight curves. I usually wear size 6 in dresses/skirts and 29 in jeans to accommodate my curves. The fabric, design, pattern are all amazing. These colors will look particularly well against melanated skin. If your size becomes available definitely purchase this dress. You won’t regret it. I’ll definitely consider dresses with this design in the future.

I haven’t purchased much from J.Crew since J.Lyons was the creative director, however I received a gift card and purchased this dress. I don’t see it as formal, but very classy. Plain and simple, yet elegant and stylish!
