Gathered cotton-poplin dress in oversized paisley

I am size 8/Medium on most of Jcrew, 5’6” 134lb 36C. I got this dress in size 8 online. Just received it, tried it on, found it 1”-2” too big around my chest. I wish I knew there’s a zipper at the back and got it in size 6! But it was a final sale item (no return!) and it will not be an easy fix because it’s so well constructed and made, I just have to suck it up, sadly. I can still wear it -loosely- but I would have liked a size smaller fitting better. If you can get it in a right size, it’s a great buy! It is such a quality piece and fabric is beautiful and used so generously. Love it!!!

So comfortable and cute. The pockets were a nice surprise. I even got a compliment from a stranger in how cute the dress is when we were out to dinner.

I really love this dress, and I’m so happy it came in additional prints. The navy floral suits me better than the cream/green floral (which was SO pretty, but I didn’t like it against my pale skin tone). I feel like the bust area is true to size, though the straps are a little too loose for my liking - those are an easy fix, though. I’m 5’4 and felt the length was good, a true midi-length. LOVE that it has pockets!!! Not too long. Would be cute with some sneakers, sandals or ballet flats. Also pairs well with a cute cropped jean jacket or a cardigan.
