Short but nice fit

Just what I needed to wear under crocheted dress
September 21, 2022A few weeks ago I bought the beautiful navy crocheted dress and after one wearing with nude undergarments, I realized the dress was a little too revealing. This slip dress in black fit the bill perfectly! I will definitely wear it alone too -- it drapes beautifully, accentuating one's form without being too tight anywear. The thin straps are comfortable and don't feel flimsy. Dress ran TTS, I usually take a size 4 and the small sized dress was perfect.

It’s only too short if it’s stretched
September 16, 2022I usually order 00 or 0 in j. crew dresses, I ordered a 00 and it fits perfect. Not short on me, it hits above the knee but not quite mid thigh for me. Definite work appropriate length! I’m 5’6, 114 lbs for reference. The bias cut makes it a great length if it isn’t pulled/stretched, the more you stretch it the shorter it goes- think chinese finger trap. If you size it right and don’t have those enviable luscious curves, it should be great!

Dress in Firelight is Superb!
September 13, 2022This dress in Firelight is gorgeous! I hesitated about ordering it is this color because I thought the red might be too much "appeal" for this Mod-style gal, but noooo it is perfect! The red is muted by design with the use of a fabric weave called, I think, Shot Silk which is just something you have to see. When you move it gives a shimmer of muted gold. Amazing. Some of my husband's J Crew cotton dress shirts are made with Shot Silk weave. Yes, it arrived wrinkled, but that is Cupro for you and steams/irons out. Don't confuse Cupro with Shot Silk weave. Nice job J. Crew!

Not impressed
September 9, 2022I don't know if I got a defected dress or what, but I was so disappointed in this dress. It ran very small in the bust, it was SO short that it barely covered my bottom (even after adjusting the straps!), and the material felt and looked cheap. For reference, I'm 5'6", 34B, hourglass and a true 6 in dresses...maybe it's not meant for people with curves.

Cute dress, color is off though
September 6, 2022The dress is cute but the color wildfire is nothing like what is shown in the pictures. The pictures shows a vibrant red but its much more of a muted red/orange color.
