Limited-edition tie-dyed silk maxi dress

I have never thought of myself as a tie-dye fan, but boy did this dress change that. The fabric and colors and fit are all too fabulous for words. This dress is gorgeous. Another stunning dress from J.Crew for my wardrobe.

What an incredibly beautiful dress. This was a splurge but worth every dollar! 1) size: size down but make sure the shoulders fit. The overall fit is loose but the shoulders are where it might get tricky. I’m between a 0 and 2 in silk dresses (especially the shifts where I take a 2), I sized down to a 00 and it’s a very forgiving fit. The shoulders are a bit narrow....so still working on that part. 2) color/ design: beautiful tie-dye with colors more vivid in person. Pink. And yellow!!! 3) length: I’m 5’5” and it hit just above my ankles. No pockets on this dress, side zip present so easy to get in and out of especially for those of us that are independent dressers ;) Great buy, keep more silk like this coming J Crew!!

After multiple emails pushing back the delivery date, I finally got this dress today. It is fabulous. The silk fabric is obviously high-quality, thick with a beautiful drape. The colors are vibrant but not over-the-top (and no unnecessary ruffles or other bells and whistles in the name of “novelty”). And the fit is comfortable and chic. Perfect for an upscale dinner on vacation (eventually...) or a summer event. But I might just have to wear it around the house too! I wish J. Crew would make more items with this quality and smart design.
