Merino wool slip dress

Love everything about this dress. Purchased on a whim, fits so well and drapes curves is the right places. Material is soft and beautiful color grey. I am 5”4’ with an athletic build. So excited to wear this as our weather is transitioning from winter to spring in Wisconsin.

I had such hope for this dress, but was disappointed. I'm a RTW 16/18 with a 40 DD country thick momma, bought an xl First it is 82% Merino wool 15% polyamide and 3% elastane. Thickness is like that of a thick T-shirt. Which is nice. Felt soft in hand. The fit, wow and not in a good way. Not for large bust. Or mommy tummy. Bra on or off the way the dress is cut with very odd ribbing that outlines like triangles, it looks horrible. It leaves the chest almost deformed looking. That ribbing goes straight down the front, clings on the mommy tummy. I was hoping for a spring dress with all the awesomeness of wool, but it's not going to happen.

I adore the seaming on this dress as I purchased it in the gray to really show the detail. The quality in wool is perfect for that Spring morning when it is still in the upper 30's on the coast. I chose the XS and it fits perfectly. 32AA-25-34". I took a chance on the "final sale" and will order the black too. And maybe another gray as a back up. It feels soft against the skin but not that stretchy wool that would lose it's shape over time with stretch out marks from sitting, seat belts when driving, etc., Great item. Very happy!

I am disappointed by this dress. When I unpacked it I thought it is a wrong delivery. The fabric does not feel like merino wool but more like a T-Shirt. It is very thin and strangely cut. When I read "merino wool" I was expecting a dress in the quality of the tipi sweater. Not at all!!! It also does not look at all like on the picture. I am wondering if I got a different product. The cut is the same but the quality is not even close to the dress on the photo. I cant recommend this dress the way I received it.
