Oahu V-neck tiered dress

This dress is very cute in the chest, upper back, and extremely long full skirt. However, it has a low back and runs huge in the waist and hips (even for me, someone who is often a full size larger in bottoms but bought this in my regular size), so the fabric just droops in the lower back. Extremely disappointing to have bought two of these final sale without trying them on.

I ordered in my normal size, a medium, and it fit perfectly! I ordered the dandelion swirl print and it looks even better in person! I plan to order the pink as well.

Ok, so I lost a lot of weight when the pandemic started. A year later, I gained some of that weight back. When I initially lost weight, I wore a size 2 pants, XXS sweaters (I have tony shoulders), and XS dresses. I ordered the XS in this because after gaining weight, I just don't know what size I am. I have other J Crew dresses and I still fit into some of the XS ones, though they're very fitted, but in others I don't fit at all, they're too small. I just thought, I can exchange for a larger size if needed. Well..... This dress is too big on me! I could have sized down a size, or even 2, but that's not possible. The skirt is loose, as it should be, but the waist/underbust is so huge. And my DD cups fit into the cup. It's slightly revealing, but it fits, and I don't feel like it's inappropriate. It's lovely, flowy, has pockets, but this vanity sizing needs to stop. The XS in this dress fits like an M honestly. I recommend the dress, but do size down!
