Puff-sleeve denim jumpsuit

I haven’t bought a jumpsuit in ages, but this one caught my eye in the store. Fits well, very flattering. As I was trying it on another shopper said, “you really should buy that; it looks fantastic on you .” I was already in love with it; I was tempted to just wear it out. Perfect for fall weather.

I saw this jumpsuit in the store and ordered 2 sizes hoping one would a be fit. Neither one was. First, I opened the package and both jumpsuits smelled like mothballs. Then, I tried on one of the jumpsuits. It was the most odd fit.... The zippered front is not long enough so you must jenga yourself into them. The waist is tight, the arms and legs are puffy, the leg is tapered... It looks like a costume. I don't know who this would be a "fit" for....

I ordered my typical J.Crew size 14 — which I own in several other jumpsuits, dresses, and pants — and while this jumpsuit fit well in the torso and shoulders, I found the legs tight around my thighs and calves. Also a bit disappointed with the quality of the denim, which is soft and breathable, but felt thinner and a bit cheap considering the price point, in my opinion.

I’ve never been one to wear a jumpsuit, but this denim one seemed too good to pass up. I was so right. The fabric is amazing—soft, not scratchy. The puff sleeves are feminine and trendy but not overdone. The length is perfect for me, but I’m 5’5”, so taller than that may be too tall for this one. I wish it could’ve been far less wrinkly when it was sent to me, as the zipper panel was completely wrinkled and disheveled. That being said, the fit is so flattering and I cannot wait to wear it this season. Love it.
