Puff-sleeve mini dress in Stewart tartan

Love this dress. It fits true to size. Perfect length. Sleeves look great. Love the fabric and the plaid. Have the same plaid in the e same full sleeves and they fit similarly. Wore with the suede green loafers also from JCrew.

I read the reviews and decided to purchase it anyway. I am glad I did. I LOVE it. I'm plus size and quite curvy. I ordered the 18 and tried it on over a long sleeve tee shirt and yoga pants and it fit. I can only imagine how marvelous it will look when I try it on properly. I am impressed with the fit and the quality of the fabric. I am5'5" and it hits around the middle of knees. I can't wait to wear this out.

I was so looking forward to get this dress, but was disappointed when I received it finally. First of all, it's way, WAY too short. I managed to elongate it by adding a layer - a slip from Free People - that sort of made the length a bit more acceptable.. Still, it's too short even that way. Now about the top: The neckline is SO open and low, that if you are a full-chested woman, it'll all be a bit too... in your face. The sleeves are very puffy, yet manageable. The way the skirt connects to the bodice is kind of sloppy and unflattering. So.. really, the only thing I liked about the dress is the color! Other than that, it's a huge disappointment. JCrew, please think about who is your target clientele and who you are designing for. If a dress is size 10-12, perhaps, the skirt should be made just a bit longer, and the neckline - just a tad less deep-cut. Just saying!... Sadly, I am returning.

I was so excited for this dress and it had so much potential, but if you have any curves and any chest at all this dress is not for you. It did not hug in the right areas and made me look fat the way it poofs out under my boobs. I’ve never rated a jcrew piece so bad. I

I loved the quality and pattern of the fabric, but the proportions of this dress made it a total miss for me. I'm 5'7" and ordered a size 6. It hit me a full 8" above the knee, which, as a parent of young kids, is just not practical. If that were the only issue, I would assume I'm just not the demographic for this dress. However, the top portion is also strange. There are only 10.5" from the shoulder to the empire "waist", which means it just barely comes below my 36AA bust. Nothing about this worked for me.

I love tartan and have lots of festive pieces from jcrew holiday collections but this dress is my favorite. It can be dressed up with stockings and heels or more casually with boots or flats. I’m about 5’2” and this dress does not feel too short at all. I love the Athena nap dress with the puff sleeves but that dress always feels slightly too casual and this dress has POCKETS! The silicone on the sleeve works well to prevent them from slipping. I’m a 32DDD and the bust is imperceptibly tight-probably not in the next size.
