Puff-sleeve side-cutout mini dress in lightweight chino

I was worried this dress would show too much skin like a lot of other cut out dresses, but I felt pretty comfortable wearing this. Great silhouette and on trend piece. Would definitely recommend.

Agree this is a nice subtle nod to the cut out trend, love the khaki color but would have bought a different color if more were available. Dress is very flattering, I’m a D cup, with hourglass shape and it fits me well, might have been able to go up a size but overall I’m very pleased with this and imagine I will wear it often!!

This dress is really cute on! It's the first puff sleeve item I can wear that doesn't make my arms look way bigger than my body. The cutouts are subtle but still noticeable. The color is a light tan in my opinion. I didn't have a problem with it being see through while wearing skin-toned undergarments. I got an 8, which is my typical J Crew dress size, though I am an 8 on top (small-busted) and 10 on bottom. The A-line skirt is a little straighter than expected; I would have preferred a bit more flare, but that could be due to my larger bottom half. Really comfortable. Love that the length is above knee and not midi like the others J Crew has in this style. Pockets would have been a nice addition. Wish J Crew would make this style in other colors/patterns plus pockets, perhaps some without the cutouts so it can be worn to work on addition to play!! (Please J Crew!!!)

I love the cutout trend, however some of the dresses haven’t fit well on me. I decided to try this shorter A-line version. I was pleasantly surprised. I’m 5’6”, ~140, 36DD, slightly curvy hips. I usually purchase size 6 in dresses but I went with 8 in this one and it fits well. Very flattering design in a nice neutral that I can pair with a pair of my fun shoes to bring in a pop of color and excitement to the outfit. The material is substantial however if you wear lighter undergarments you can see them through the material up close, so darker would be better. The length is right above the knees on me. I’m glad that I took a chance on this one. As a side note I have found that the A-line cut out dresses (knee or midi length) fit better on me than those that have a fuller bottom.

I’m in my late 40s and wanted a subtle cut out and this fit the bill. Looks fabulous on me. Super happy with the trendy look and the neutral ivory color.
