Scoopback linen dress

I was able to snag this gorgeous linen dress in the oatmeal color and it is just perfection. Wore it during the day in Miami, in August - everyone else was dripping and I felt cool and fresh. The styling options are endless and it's so flattering. I'm usually an 0 in JC dresses so chose the XXS and it fits perfectly.

5’8” 120ish lbs purchased size small. I LOVE this dress in black. It is laid back yet elegant. It is nice and light. I love the amount of fabric, gathers nicely when belted and is the perfect length. I would want this in navy as well. If they had my size I’d get yellow to sleep in that’s how much I love it. It is flowy and laid back, yep I do love it. I found it ran true to size for a flowy dress.

This dress is so beautiful. You will feel like you are in Tuscany on vacation by just putting it on. It's romantic, and moves so elegantly as you walk. Epitome of summer! I love the tier along the bottom! And it has nice deep pockets! The dress is unlined and maybe sheer when you are backlit. I must praise all of this year's JCREW LINEN Collection. Bravo! COLOR: It's a golden wheat color, without any peachy undertones. Just gorgeous. A warm hue that goes well with tanned summer skin. Texture: Very velvety, not scratchy. SIZING: I am usually an XS, so that's what I purchased and wouldn't want it any smaller. The dress is nicely full around the waist and bottom. LENGTH: It's a midi on the model in the front, but it's more of a maxi on me, as I am a shortie. I like it that way! OPENNESS: The back is a quite low, so I have to figure out what kind of bra to wear with it. The dress is for those super hot days when you don't want any sleeves or anything that clings to the body.

This dress was the perfect last minute buy for my family beach vacation. I have found that my dress size in J. Crew varies, but since this is a flowy dress I thought it would run slightly large - and I was right. For reference I am 34B, 145, with a booty and went with an XS. It was slightly too big, but I loved it so much I kept it and am re-ordering in an XXS. Do not pass this up, especially on sale!
