Absolutely gorgeous Classy
May 25, 2023I love this dress it’s absolutely gorgeous, and if you’re like me from the 80s, you like that baggy look and if so, then I would size up because that’s what I did and I love the way the dress feels and looks on me, with that baggy look very classy and sophisticated!! Totally classy

Beautifully Planned and Executed
April 26, 2023Was reticent to try this lovely versatile dress described as "mini" as I no longer have the great legs of my youth on my side. (Funny how hindsight really can be 20-20.) However, I own - and love - the navy blazer in the similar construction and its been on heavy rotation for years which motivated my search. I regularly wore dresses like these (French designer style) for years but stopped when dressmakers stopped fitting them to women. Decided to try again as JC does such a great job with blazers and trousers. I'm SO glad! It's perfect!! My regular size 10 is spot on. The darts, seam detail, tiny bit of stretch and modest sleeve/neckline couldn't be better. Lightweight fabric is year-round great. It's made to release at the hip so I don't need shapewear. No cling. Yes, it's above the knee and I'll wear tights in the winter with boots. I will also wear pantyhose at work as we've discussed my confidence but you won't need. Fits as pictured. Dress can work or party all year. Recommend!

Great dress
March 17, 2023This is one of the few dresses without ruffles and balloon sleeves so that was a win from the start. The sleeves are 2” too long, but it’s not a deal breaker. The length is perfect for me.

Cute dress, but short
February 16, 2023I almost kept this dress as the fit and style were really cute, but at 5'7" it's too short for work - it hits me at mid thigh. It fit true to size, maybe a tiny bit narrow through the shoulders. Thinking of trying the next size up to see if it adds any length, but then I'm worried the body will be too big.

Almost perfect!!
February 1, 2023I've been looking for a dress like this for so long, wool, lined, high chest coverage (but doesn't hit my neck/feel suffocating), sleeves, mini dress style, perfect amount of stretch. Perfect go to everyday work dress while still being comfortable and not too fitted/bootylicious. I really wish it came in black as well (and gray and some other colors too!) I'm 5'5" so this hits right above my knees instead of a mini, I might get it altered because I was going for a shorter look, I do have a short torso so that may be why it's a bit too long on me. It has sewn shut pockets on the front that I didn't notice in the pictures, they're placed really weirdly, too far into the middle they just seem awkward. I would have preferred either to just not have those at all, or to have them be real pockets further out to the sides/along the side seams, that would have been amazing. Also I have bigger upper arms and the sleeves fit well/have enough room for me which I appreciate!
