Style misses the mark
February 1, 2020The quality of the silk fabric is very nice and the floral pattern is lovely. The attached cami slip is also a very nice feature for comfort and modesty. The issue is with the style. Perhaps I have worked in healthcare too long, but I felt like I tried on a lovely, silk hospital gown. It is even the right periwinkle color. Perhaps if the sleeves were actually flutter sleeves, rather than fabric that covers the shoulders and attaches to the bodice, it might have been a bit more flattering. Perhaps if I was super tall and super thin, the boxy proportions and longer length would have been better as well.

October 31, 2019I love it. I had purchase like 8 dresses, which I thought I would love them all. HOWEVER, this one I absolutely am in love with. It is beautiful. The lining is cheap-but all the jcrew linings are cheap and at least there is lining. The actual dress is quite beautiful. Thank you!

Looks good, feels good, and a very versatile style
September 27, 2019I love how this dress feels so soft being silk and is a roomy style. However, I must agree with a previous reviewer that the lining is a bit tight across the bust. I love it even though this is true, so I am keeping it and will figure out how to alter the lining to increase the area over the bust, and then I will have a comfortable dress that will serve me well for many occasions. I always like the quality of the dresses I buy at J. Crew.

A Retro Style of Dress
August 22, 2019I was looking for a piece for my friend's wedding. I have too many solid color ones in my closet. So happy see this one and take what the reviews say, then I order it. Overall it is good piece. The only issue is: the under piece moves a bit and sometimes shows underarm. I might have to stitch the under piece to the dress itself to prevent moving around. The floral pattern is very nice and not too sharp looking for a conservative person like me, haha.
