Tiered cotton poplin dress

Everyone that knows me understands I wear JCREW constantly. To say I’m a good customer would be an understatement… but sometimes even my favorite and familiar retailer blows me away. The quality on this dress is incredible. Very high quality poplin, fully lined. It has so much body. Looks very high end. I wore it days on end last week and made it look different each day by adding a blazer, sweater, three a sweatshirt over it. I would buy in every color if I could. Size down, does run large.

I took a chance on this dress during final sale, and so glad I did! I love it! I'm 5'11", 165 lbs and the true size said I'm a medium. I'm closer to large these days, but the cut of this dress is forgiving so I had the sense the medium was probably the right fit, and I was right! It's very pretty, the v-neck is a lovely detail. Pure cotton, fully lined, just enough to not be see-thru, but still light and breezy. And pockets! and the pockets don't show thru! I'm tall and it's just the right midi length, not too long or short. The adjustable straps are perfect. And the straight cut is forgiving to curves. And for us tall girls, the straps are set nice and wide, so very feminine and flattering on broader shoulders. I'm so happy I found this one, I really was needing a breezy white dress this summer. Beautiful white crisp dress but size down, the true size indicator stated my usual size which is what i ordered but needed the size down as I’m drowning in it. Bummer as it’s final sale and can’t correct the size, don’t make the same mistake.

I should have sized down two sizes. I sized down to a S and I’m a true M. It’s still comically large. The quality of the material is great, I just wish it fit. Unfortunately final sale… so we’ll see. Wish J Crew had more consistency in sizing.

If you are traveling this summer and are limited on packing space, take this dress with you. You will not be sorry! This dress is classic and elegant and is so unbelievably versatile. It can be worn simply or styled up with accessories and is perfect for any warm-weather occasion and body type. It's lined just enough to not be see-through or heavy. This dress is not meant to be fitted, but I do recommend sizing one size down as it does run large. It is extremely comfortable, forgiving in the hips, and I feel amazing in it!
