Tiered maxi dress in painted block print

Agree with others that this dress would probably flatter a more curvaceous person than I am - it doesn't do a lot to shape my straight 5'7" 130 lb body; however, it is still flattering, and so comfortable, and even has pockets! The rayon is typical rayon, so not really any different from what you'd find with lesser brands - It doesn't have that super slinky luxury feel that some rayon does. One note: did not fall 56" on me - closer to 53"; that said, it's nearly a maxi on me, and it may have been just my dress that ran shorter.

I find this runs true to size. 5’4”, 115 pounds and XS fits comfortably. If you have a larger chest and feel you are locked out of most J Crew dresses because they don’t accommodate women’s bodies that aren’t straight, try this dress! Only slight issue, if your chest sticks out considerably, the ruffles don’t lie flat and stick out at weird angles, but I’m going to try steaming them down. On the plus side, the ruffles do have the effect of making your waist look trimmer. Also, I really dislike pockets on dresses and this has pockets. I don’t understand the vocal pocket brigade - I don’t even use pockets when I’m wearing jeans, I never need them on dresses and prefer to have a swishy light feeling rather than extra fabric and bulk around my thighs. I just don’t like the feel of pockets on dresses at all. But I’m very happy with this dress overall despite the pockets and bought another as back up. Love the orange and pink colors. Also just FYI, no zipper, it’s slip on over your head.

I didn't know what to think of this dress; it appears different in person (colorwise). I tried it on and loved it. It falls perfectly and flows. This dress epitomizes "summer." With the right accessories, it was a win! I ordered the small; I am 5'7, currently 156lbs, 32D, 28 inch waist and 38 inch hips.

I usually wear an XS in J.Crew and this feels a bit smaller than usual but my real problem is the described length. It says the dress is 56.5" from high point to hem on the Size 6. First, this isn't numerical sizing. Second, the dress is nowhere close to 56.5" long. The XS is not even 50" with the straps as long as they will go. I understand there may be a discrepancy of maybe a couple of inches in length since this is a smaller size but 6.5" is ridiculous. Please do better with your descriptions, J Crew - especially if you're going to sell as final sale only.

Light, cool, comfortable and versatile summer dress. Perfect for a day in town with some sandals. Beautiful vibrant colors. The only con is that the dress needs ironing. Other that that, it’s perfect. For reference 5’4, 128lbs, 34D. I ordered Small, I think I could’ve fit in an XS, but I like that the elastic in the small is not too tight.

The quality of the fabric is not as nice as J Crew dresses usually are. You can tell it’s cheaper and artificial. The dress is cute. Just wish it was all cotton.
