Perfect summer dress
August 11, 2022I’m in love with this dress fits true to size. Love that the straps are convertible. Can be strapless, can crisscross, or classic style. The length is maxi and a bit flowy. The only thing this dress is missing are pockets. Can wear a sweater or denim jacket over as a transitional piece as well.

Classic, cute dress
August 9, 2022This dress is well made. Very flattering for the figure. The material is thicker and luxe. Love the adjustable straps. Usually straps can run longer, but I can size down. I even crisscrossed the back for a nice detail. Typically J Crew run large so I size down to XS, but lately it’s been true to size. This was true to size in small. This dress can be coupled with a cardigan and be worn in spring and fall.

Great summer dress
July 24, 2022To my surprise, the chest area wasn’t overly small or clingy on me. I’m a 34b and I’ve found that some JC dresses are way off on sizes lately…. Too big/too tight, but this one works. The shirt is long and flowy, but no pockets! Really like the pattern and like other reviewers suggested, I too tried criss- crossing the (button adjustable) straps. Gives it some interest and pulls up the top a bit. Love it and got it on a decent sale.

Not for pear shapes
July 23, 2022This is objectively a lovely dress. Doesn't have pockets though. It runs small. I usually wear an XS or S. I am VERY pear shaped, and the XS was SO SMALL in the hips, but PERFECT on top. It looks loose and flowy on the model in the photo, but it's not. So I ended up sizing up to a M. It's still kind of snug in the hips, but at least it's not skin tight. But the M is too big on top. The cut of this dress just looks awful on me and I look frumpy and large in all the wrong places. The straps are also SO LONG on the M, I will have to shorten them a few inches. INCHES! Bummer, it's so lovely on the hanger! But it's not for pear shapes!
