9" demi-boot crop jean in Palmyra wash

I’m 5’7” and tried these in both the tall and regular sizes. The tall was too long in the rise. The regular size was long enough in the legs, fit true to size and stretches slightly during wear. I also tried one size up and they fit in the thigh but gapped in the waist, so decided to stick with my regular size and plan for slight stretch. Great heavyweight denim and perfect for spring.

This looks and feels like a pretty good quality pair of jeans by current standards. Color is true and the fake "wear" is less in person. Unfortunately I listened to previous reviewers saying they run small. They don't. They run very large. I ordered one size bigger based on the reviews, and they are at least two sizes too big. I think that people are so used to size inflation now -- where women's clothes keep getting bigger so you can order a smaller size -- that sizing is a complete crapshoot. My usual rule for JC pants/jeans is to get one size smaller than the size chart indicates, because the pants are always bigger than the size chart says. You should stick to that rule with these jeans.

I love the style and feel of these jeans, but definitely go one size up. The first pair were too tight, ordered the next size and they looked great, especially with the slight flare at the bottom.

These are great, pretty heavy weight denim but not sure why it says it runs large. I ordered my usual 26 & couldn’t breathe. Will need to exchange for 27.
