These jeans are awesome! I’m a 29 in most mid-rise jeans and purchased a 29 in these. The fit is perfect and though there is ample “give” they do not stretch out at all. I turn them inside out, wash in cold water, and dry on medium with no noticeable shrinkage. Please keep this cut, JCrew!

Had already purchased the “Billie” in denim wash with frayed bottom and loved them, so when I saw these it was really a no brainer. These are a little dressier(i.e. black with no fraying) but still great!! Just as with the originals, received compliments on the first wear. True must have!!

I have been searching for a pair of black cropped pants with a flared hem do a long time! I finally found a pair and can cross it off my list. These are not quite jeans and can be worn to work. As the other reviewer said, the regular length does fall at an odd location. My husband says it looks like I accidentally shrunk my pants. For reference, I am just under 5'3" and usually find petite pants to be about 2 inches too short, so I ended up ordering the petite size and they are perfect length for cropped pants. My husband also says the length looks more like I intended to wear cropped pants. So I think for gals who are 5'4" and above, the regular length should be fine. The only con I can think of is that the material looks like it would pick up lint so you can't wear it with a fuzzy white sweater.

Purchased these online and although they looked great on the model, I found them to be awkward in length (weird length for cropped) and more dress pant than jean. The material is too thin to be denim. They stretch a lot so was able to size down but an hour in the lost their shape and had a gap in the waistband. Not my favorite pant from j.crew so they’re going back.
