Rigid kickout crop jean in Sailor Blue wash

I love these jeans so much that I have bought 3 pairs. I disagree with the advice to size up. I originally got my normal size 25 and they fit well but not tight and then stretched over the course of the day to a little baggier than I wanted. I really liked them though, and couldn't return them, so I made those into great shorts, which I like a little looser. I then ordered the 24 which fits like a sausage casing at first but then gives a little to the such a perfect fit that I ordered another pair to dye black. I think 100% cotton jeans should start out a little too tight and then mold to your body over time. That said this is a fit for a straighter body type and might not work for those blessed with more curves. For reference I am 5’5” 115 and usually wear sz 25 jeans. The denim is thick and sturdy and the wash doesn't look fake. They remind me of a pair of 70s Farrah jeans I used to have.

These jeans are excellent...if they had only fit. I wear a 24/25 and bought these in a 26 due to reviews. Well, I got them most of the way up my legs and buttoned but they were so small in the hips that I couldn’t get them all the way up and they stretched tight across the crotch. Haha not a great look. If they had these in a 27 still, I’d definitely try them again. I would love them in a bigger size. The denim is excellent but no stretch at all.

Read the reviews, sized up. The fit is definitely strange. Even sized up these are still really snug on my thighs. I carry weight in my stomach, not my thighs so it’s off for something to be tight there. Since I sized up the waist is loose. Thankfully I can sew (only reason I took the gamble) so they’re upstairs deconstructed waiting on me to take the waist in. I really think once I do that I’ll love them.

I ordered a bigger size (as many reviewers said these jeans were way to small) but the waist is HUGE on me... that said if I had ordered my normal size I would not be able to fit my legs in.

I sized up 2 sizes. I am normally a 29 and ordered a 31 per comments. Even with sizing up these jeans are still a little snug around my thighs. I don’t think going up another size would help because I already have a huge gap at my waist. Wouldn’t recommend for the ladies with a small waist but gifted in the tush.

These are Point Sur denim which runs a size smaller than J.crew, for me. I am always a j.crew 31 in denim and so a 30 in Point Sur usually fits me perfectly. Point Sur also seems to think if you are a sz 31 or 32, you must have tree trunk legs with knees as big as your thighs so PS always cuts above size 30 with HUGE knees. It’s so weird. I foolishly listened to the j.crew guidance and reviews and ordered a 31 and a 32. They are both HUGE! Did I get the second run that was cut way differently? These are hideous and I wish I had ordered my point Sur size of 30 since they would’ve at least fit! Final sale so these are my new cut-offs. Wish they looked anything like the photos but the fading is like white spots placed around in the blue, just like a pair of discount store jeans. What a hot mess.
