Mid-rise straight jean

I have these jeans in 3 different wash colors and love each and every one! They hit the perfect balance of slimming and comfy.

I bought these jeans at a great sale price & wasn't expecting them to fit & look so great. The length is perfect for my height & the fit is very flattering. Ive had difficulty finding jeans I'm happy with lately, but these are great & exceeded my expectations. I’m going to be on the lookout for this jean in other washes, i would happily pay full price in the future.

A size 27 is like a size 30? It literally falls off of me. It's not a little big, it's HUGE. It is not wearble for me at all.

I ordered a size 25 knowing that I wear a 0 in all other JCrew pants/shorts AND my waist is actually 26" and hips are 34". These jeans, size 25, are at least 2 sizes too big. Major disappointment as it is also a final sale item and not returnable. Good job JCrew at getting rid of stock that was made too large by having it be a final sale.

I'm 5'5" 145, athletic with some glutes in the trunk, comfortably a 27 in J.Crew jeans and cords or a 26 in ones that have been stretched out post laundry. Half of my closet is J Crew Vintage slim cords in size 26 that are just a little too small in perimenopause. Bought the Montauk wash in a 26, since many reviewers said they fit large. BIG indeed! Out of the package a lovely, classic 80's rodeo fit: body aware but roomy. I could do some ranch work or Hip Hop dance in these. Husband said he liked that they were not as tight as my usual jeans (muscular legs). Figured they'd retain their shape with so little stretch. Then I wore them for a few hours on a plane and when I disembarked there were a couple inches of air in the waistline, a very saggy butt, and a long crotch. I washed and dried them and they shrunk in the hem but not in the body. Again, they fit well out of the dryer but bag out quickly. And yet . . . the pale blue's perfect and I kinda like the roominess, though that's not my usual style. They were great for travel. The denim's substantial but not rigid or cumbersome--soft and breathable. Without a belt, they look like nice men's jeans from a thrift store. It's an 80's lesbian vibe--cool, but not me. If they were and stayed form-fitting in the waist and pelvis, they'd be more like the non-skinny jeans the young women at the airport were wearing well. They'll be less frumpy, more retro, with a belt. Probably should have ordered the 25. Half wonder if the 24 would stretch out to more of what I'd hoped for. Good length--can wear with tennis shoes or low boots. I don't regret having them, but they did a 180 after the first date!

Good straight leg but ultimately the denim had a weird texture to it and thus I returned them.
